Jonathan (Jon) Kokos will be joining the E&I team on May 6, 2024, as a Small College Procurement Consultant. Jon will be reporting to Joe Castelluccio, Director, Business Development and will be working remotely from his home office in Chapin, South Carolina.
As a Small College Procurement Consultant, Jonathan will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for E&I’s eProcurement solutions in the Small College Market. He will educate Chief Financial Officers (CFO’s) and Chief Business Officers (CBO’s) at smaller higher education institutions about the criticality of cooperative purchasing as a means to drive savings for their institutions. His primary objective will be to promote and sell “Blank Buy”, our innovative e-procurement platform tailored to purchasing off E&I contracts.
Jon joins our organization with over 21 years of experience in higher education finance. In his present role as CFO and Vice President for Business & Finance, at Newberry College, Jon provides executive leadership and direct oversight of finance and business operations in various departments and serves as a member of the College Executive Committee. Preceding this role, Jon was the Vice President of Finance & Business Affairs, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer at Lees-McRae College where he reported directly to the President was responsible for the management of all college finance and business operations. In this role, he implemented an open, transparent, collaborative operating and capital budget process that realigned financial resources and provided investment opportunities for strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, Jon held numerous financial positions at Catawba Valley Community College, Gaston College, and Point Park University.
In his spare time, Jon enjoys being in the woods, hiking, riding his bike, playing disc golf, and he especially enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
