We have some exciting new to share with you! William Schaffer will be joining the E&I team on July 29, 2024 as a Member Data Analyst for the Innovation & Insights Department. William will report to Mike Fox, Sr. Director, Category Insights & Analytics and will work remotely from his home office in Frederick, Maryland. As a Member Data Analyst, William will be responsible for developing and refining our data analytics product, gathering and processing diverse datasets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data-driven insights. He will be conducting customer-facing analyses, refining and processing procurement spend data for accurate and reliable analysis, creating insightful reports and Tableau dashboards, in addition to providing insights and support related to report outputs.
William joins our organization with over 6 years’ experience as an Analyst. As an Operations Research Analyst at NAVAIR F-35 Joint Program Office, he created earned value management reporting and analysis for over $1 billion worth of government contracts relating to the development, productions, and maintenance of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. William established and maintained SQL Servers and Databases for 7 contracts, creating data pipelines to front-end analysis software. He also analyzed contract performance data and briefed senior Commissioned Officers on cost metrics and spend analysis, enabling informed decision making and contributing to a 10% improvement in budget adherence. Furthermore, William spearheaded a small team to improve cost estimating, spend analysis, and simulation processes, resulting in a 25% increase in model development accuracy and efficiency.
In his spare time, William enjoys adventuring with his partner and dog by going on long hikes, travelling abroad.
