Better We, Better Week, October 14, 2024:  World Mental Health Day

by Lori Beth Rodrigues

Hi Team,

Last week on October 10th, was World Mental Health Day. This day was founded by the World Federation of Mental Health back in 1992. This year’s theme is “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace”. https://wfmh.global/

While it is four days later, it is still an opportunity to highlight and focus on the care of our own mental health and wellness, along with supporting our loved ones, our community, and our colleagues who may be struggling or suffering in silence. We can each do our part to raise awareness and aim to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness, challenging and changing negative perceptions and stereotypes that still exist in the US and globally today. Additionally, each of us can take advantage of the many resources available that can help ourselves and others.

E&I cares deeply about the health and wellness of each of us and our families. For all E&I employees, in addition to our Sick Pay policy, we have two Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) supported by both ADP and Reliance Standard for you and for your immediate family members to utilize. Both programs include 24/7, free and confidential support, and you don’t need to be enrolled in our medical benefit plans to use them. Within these programs, you can speak live with licensed counselors and in addition, take advantage of many resources that can help manage various difficult and complex issues.

Feel free to visit our E&I ADP Portal where you will find a brief overview of benefits and contact information for both EAP programs from Reliance Standard and ADP, located on our Home Page.  In addition, included is a direct link to Reliance’s EAP site with phone number, along with ADP’s phone number should you have any immediate needs:

Reliance EAP: https://rsli.mylifeexpert.com/  1-855-775-4357

ADP My Life Advisors: 1-800-697-7315

The greatest wealth is our health. Should you have any questions or need further support, please reach out to Zoe Viola, Manager of Employee Services and HR Benefits. You can also contact any member of our People Team who are always here to help and support you as well!

Wishing you all a Better We, Better Week! 😊
