Great Morning Team!
It’s Thanksgiving week, and the holiday season is officially in full swing! This holiday is my personal favorite, as it always feels like one big festive celebration of giving to others in meaningful ways, combined with the reflection of gratitude for all we have in our lives. Whatever your plans might be this week, I wish you all a wonderful time away, however you choose to spend it. 😊
Speaking of Thanksgiving and gratitude, after the feast and holiday is over, Giving Tuesday arrives!
Giving Tuesday has evolved into a global celebration of kindness and generosity. Held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it offers a meaningful contrast to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Created in 2012, the movement has grown into a worldwide phenomenon, inspiring millions of people to act in big and small ways to make the world a better place. This special day is about giving your time, your voice, your skills and your resources to causes that matter to you. Whether you’re donating to a charity, volunteering at a local shelter, or simply spreading kindness within your community, Giving Tuesday is about the power of creating positive change together. There are so many ways to give back, and I wanted to provide some helpful links, should you choose to celebrate this day of giving:
For providing the gift of your time to others: Visit VolunteerMatch to find local or virtual opportunities where your time and talents can make a real difference. You can also share your expertise with professional skills you can offer at Catchafire, which connects volunteers with non-profits that need help with everything from graphic design to accounting.
To support a cause meaningful to you: Check out Charity Navigator for vetted non-profits doing great work. You can also explore global projects through GlobalGiving, and you can even support community-driven efforts on GoFundMe Causes.
We would love to hear all about your plans for giving and your experience, especially how it made a difference for others and you in the comments below. Please share it all so we can celebrate it all! 😊
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy and healthy Thanksgiving, and of course a Better We, Better Week! 😊
