I am excited to announce that Manuri Alwis has joined our team as our Associate Data Analyst and will begin her career with E&I on Monday, August 24, 2026. She will report to Melek Ucar, Director, Analytics, and will be working from her home office in Virginia Beach, VA.
In her role as Associate Data Analyst, Manuri will support E&I’s analytics initiatives by collecting, preparing, validating, and analyzing data to help drive business insights across multiple departments. She will contribute to reporting, dashboard maintenance, spend analysis projects, supplier data reviews, and other business intelligence efforts. She will also collaborate closely with teams across Sourcing, Member Engagement, Finance, and Operations.
Manuri brings a strong analytical background with hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, data quality assurance, and data engineering within the insurance and actuarial industries. Most recently, she served as a Data Scientist supporting analytics and data engineering initiatives at QBE Insurance, where she partnered with business stakeholders to analyze complex datasets, investigate data anomalies, improve reporting accuracy, and automate data workflows. She also completed an actuarial internship at QBE Insurance where she developed Python-based data transformation and reconciliation processes and presented technical findings to business partners. Manuri’s technical expertise includes SQL, Python, Azure Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, data validation, ETL processes, stakeholder reporting, and data reconciliation. She has a proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights while maintaining a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
Outside of work, Manuri loves staying active and enjoys playing soccer, weightlifting, and running. Her passion for athletics led her to compete as a Division I NCAA student-athlete at the University of California. She also enjoys sewing, cooking, and baking!
