Great Morning Team!
As we journey forward in our personal and professional growth and development, we continue to receive many exciting opportunities to “try stuff” and even “fail well” at it in the process! We can explore and experiment with our current Emergent Practices such as Check in’s and Check out’s, “Do- Overs”, “Devil’s Advocate” and After-Action Reviews. Additionally, we have the chance to test out our Strategic Practices such as participating in Boat Crews and trying out our No-Fault Formula model for effective and skillful communication. Most recently, each of us was given the challenge to think about and state what we need to stop doing in our own teams and for ourselves. For some, this may be quite easy to identify, however if a blank canvas comes to mind here, you are not alone…literally speaking. You are surrounded by your supportive community of Home- your colleagues who show up in your meetings, in your boat crews, and in your L-10’s. The great news is you can simply ask anyone of them for meaningful feedback if you need some support. Once you identify the “what”, and the “why”, the next step is to figure out how to stop the behavior, and that means…you guessed it: Trying Stuff. Trying, testing, exploring more, digging deeper to figure it all out.
With all these opportunities to experiment, discover, learn, grow and develop, we can do this all together as a team sport. It’s why we have developed the organizational structures (Groove Practices) of All Hands Meetings, L-10’s, Boat Crews, Mentoring, Showcase Our Growcase, and In The Groove, so we can share our discoveries and learn from them and each other. It’s how we will continue to grow and thrive, becoming 1% better at something each day. 😊
Currently our channels “Trying Stuff and Wins & Failing Well” In The Groove are a bit bare these days, as we have only one submission in each area. We would love to see these pages filled with what you have experimented with, tested, discovered and learned, how you “failed well” or found success, along with some great discussion in the comments sections as well. Please consider sharing your experiences, here in “Trying Stuff” and “Wins & Failing Well” so we can all benefit by learning, growing, developing, and becoming better together! 😊
Wishing you all a Better We, Better Week! 😊
