Hi Team,
I am excited to announce that Lenora Sevillian has joined our team as our new Executive Director, EdPro Community Engagement, and will begin her exciting career with us on Monday, July 7, 2025. Lenora will be working remotely from her home office in Boca Raton, Florida, and will report directly to Casey Laurienzo, Vice President of Community Engagement & Education.
Lenora joins E&I with over 30 years of experience in procurement leadership across higher education and the public sector. She has held senior roles at institutions such as Nova Southeastern University, Palm Beach State College, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Her expertise spans strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and operational transformation. Additionally, she has led initiatives that have delivered millions in cost savings, implemented sustainable procurement policies, and developed award-winning training programs for procurement professionals. As a recognized mentor and advocate for talent development, Lenora was honored with the prestigious 2024 EPIC Lifetime Achievement Award for Purchasing Indirect Categories. Her commitment to advancing ethical and sustainable practices is reflected in her active participation on advisory boards and committees, including the United Nations Higher Education Sustainability Initiative Committee (HESI+10) and the Clean Energy Ministerial Policy Development Committee. Through these roles, she continues to champion the evolution of the procurement profession with an unwavering dedication to ethics, sustainability, and continuous learning.
In this newly created role, Lenora will lead the design and execution of delivering our digital member-facing engagement strategy and environment through the EdPro Hub. This will include building, overseeing, and enriching our digital professional community, by delivering national and regional events, and expanding our leadership development programs such as EdPro NextGen and EdPro Certification. She will rely upon her years of experience to identify and drive content strategy, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships to elevate the impact in the education procurement space.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lenora finds joy in spending quality time with her family—her husband, her son, who is about to embark on his college journey, and their toy poodle, Teddy. Lenora loves exploring her creative side by writing, reading, traveling to new places, and hiking.
Please join me in welcoming Lenora to our team and wishing her much success in this new role!
Thank you,
Jeannine
